Descrição técnica

In Znuny through 7.3.6, an attacker can bypass specific standard login procedures and gain unauthorized access to sensitive system functions by manipulating a specific HTTP request header. Because the application incorrectly trusts this header, an attacker can impersonate any user, including administrators, without requiring a password. This grants full access to confidential data and system controls. More specifically, the HTTPBasicAuth modules for the agent (Kernel::System::Auth::HTTPBasicAuth) and customer (Kernel::System::CustomerAuth::HTTPBasicAuth) interfaces read the username to log in not only from $ENV{REMOTE_USER} (set by the web server after successful authentication), but also, as a fallback, from $ENV{HTTP_REMOTE_USER}, which is populated directly from an attacker-controllable "Remote-User" request header. On systems where HTTPBasicAuth was configured as the authentication backend, this allowed an attacker to log in as any existing user by sending a request with a forged Remote-User header, without providing any credentials.

CVE-2026-123339—

——0Improper trust of forwarded headers in RouterListener::onKernelFinishRequest() in Symfony HttpKernel versions prior to 5.4.56, 6.x prior to 6.4.50, 7.x prior to 7.4.23, and 8.x prior to 8.1.11 allows a remote attacker to control the host, scheme, and port of absolute URLs generated for the rest of the request, poisoning links in pages stored by a shared cache and in e-mails sent after the page was rendered. When a page renders an inline fragment (render() in Twig, or an ESI tag rendered inline), SubRequestHandler temporarily adds 127.0.0.1 to the trusted proxies, and RouterListener rebuilds the router context from the main request while that trust is still active, so the X-Forwarded-* and Forwarded headers of a request whose client address is 127.0.0.1 are trusted even though that address is not a configured trusted proxy. From that point on, every absolute URL the router generates for the rest of the main request takes its host, scheme, and port from headers sent by the client, including URLs produced by url() in Twig and by UrlGeneratorInterface::ABSOLUTE_URL. Applications are affected when they are reached over HTTP from 127.0.0.1, for example behind a TLS terminator, reverse proxy, local HTTP cache, or sidecar proxy on the same host, and that proxy passes the client’s forwarded headers along. With the default configuration (framework.trusted_proxies unset), all forwarded headers, including X-Forwarded-Host, are trusted during that window. Applications served through php-fpm, mod_php, or a proxy on another host are not affected. When framework.trusted_hosts is configured, a forwarded host outside the list is rejected, but the scheme and port can still be changed.12h

——4Remark42 is a self-hosted comment engine for blogs, articles, or any other place where readers can add comments. From 1.0.0 until 1.16.2, Remark42 globally trusts True-Client-IP, X-Real-IP, and X-Forwarded-For without verifying that the direct peer is a trusted proxy, and middleware.RealIP overwrites r.RemoteAddr before per-IP controls run. In a directly reachable deployment, or a proxy that forwards attacker-controlled headers, a remote attacker can rotate spoofed forwarding headers to obtain fresh token buckets for rate-limited endpoints, bypass vote de-duplication when --votes-ip is enabled, mint anonymous identities, and poison stored comment IPs and request logs. The global concurrent-request throttle and per-request timeouts still limit availability impact. Mitigation support is available in version 1.16.2, but operators must configure --trusted-proxy for the deployment topology.2d

——4ezBookkeeping is an open source, self-hosted personal finance application. From 0.10.0 until 1.6.0, ezBookkeeping constructs its Gin router with gin.New() without configuring SetTrustedProxies, causing c.ClientIP() to trust a spoofed X-Forwarded-For value. An unauthenticated remote attacker can supply an allowlisted address to bypass the mcp_allowed_remote_ips or api_token_allowed_remote_ips gate. A valid MCP or API token remains required for protected actions. When such actions occur, the same spoofed value is stored in Transaction.CreatedIp and the request log, attributing activity to the trusted host instead of the attacker. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.0.2d

——1CGI versions before 5.00 for Perl trust the client X-Forwarded-Host header in url, self_url, virtual_host and virtual_port. These take the host name and port from the X-Forwarded-Host request header when present, and otherwise from Host, without validating either. The URLs from url and self_url are the default redirect location and the start_html(-base=>1) base href, and the default start_form action when REQUEST_URI is not set. A client can poison shared caches, and URLs the application stores or sends, with redirects, links and scripts that point at a host it controls.3d

——4PipesHub before 0.10.0 contains a rate limit bypass vulnerability in getClientIp() that allows unauthenticated attackers to evade per-IP throttling by spoofing X-Forwarded-For or X-Real-IP headers. Attackers can rotate header values to obtain fresh rate-limit buckets on authentication endpoints, enabling password spraying and OTP or password-reset email flooding.2d

——1Echo is a Go web framework. From 5.0.0 until 5.4.1, Echo v5's ExtractIPFromRealIPHeader validates whether the client-supplied X-Real-IP value belongs to a trusted range instead of validating the direct network peer. A client reaching Echo directly, or through a proxy that preserves the header, can supply a loopback or private address and have Context.RealIP return that spoofed identity. Applications using the extractor for IP allowlists, rate limiting, audit logs, or forwarding headers can consequently trust an attacker-controlled address; the default direct extractor and Echo v4 are unaffected. This issue is fixed in 5.4.1.2d
