Descrição técnica

The HTTP Basic Authentication modules in ((OTRS)) Community Edition 6 and prior accept the authenticated username from either the REMOTE_USER or HTTP_REMOTE_USER environment variable. In CGI and mod_perl based deployments, HTTP request headers may be mapped to corresponding HTTP_* environment variables. As a result, an unauthenticated remote attacker can supply a crafted Remote-User request header which is exposed to the application as HTTP_REMOTE_USER. When HTTP Basic Authentication is configured as the authentication backend, OTRS trusts this value as an already authenticated username and does not perform an additional password verification. An attacker may therefore authenticate through the Generic Interface as an existing agent or customer user without knowing the corresponding credentials. The resulting privileges depend on the account being impersonated. Successful exploitation may allow access to confidential information and modification of data or configuration with the permissions of the affected user. Exploitation requires HTTP Basic Authentication to be configured as an authentication backend and a web server environment in which attacker-controlled HTTP headers are exposed through the corresponding HTTP_* environment variables. OTRS 7 and later are not affected by this attack vector due to the use of Mojolicious/Hypnotoad and does not expose arbitrary request headers through %ENV in the manner required for exploitation. The supported REMOTE_USER mechanism additionally requires validation through the configured SSO shared secret. The unused HTTP_REMOTE_USER fallback has nevertheless been removed as a security-hardening measure. Please note that ((OTRS)) Community Edition 6.x and before are vulnerable. Products based on the ((OTRS)) Community Edition also very likely to be affected

——8FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, FreeSWITCH's inbound ICE handling accepted every connectivity check without cryptographically validating its STUN MESSAGE-INTEGRITY attribute. A network peer able to reach an ICE-enabled leg's media port could forge an ICE connectivity check without SDP credentials, nominate its own address, redirect RTP and DTLS traffic, and terminate the legitimate media path. On unencrypted legs this enables eavesdropping and media injection, while all WebRTC and SIP legs that negotiate ICE are in scope. Version 1.11.2 introduces the remediation, which requires ice_verify_message_integrity=true.1d

——11Cendio ThinLinc contains an improper authentication vulnerability in its browser-based web client (tlwebaccess) that allows an authenticated attacker to impersonate any other user, including root, by exploiting flaws in multi-step authentication flows such as one-time passwords, login banners, or expired password prompts. Attackers can leverage this authentication bypass during the multi-step login process to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts, including administrative privileges, in versions from 4.1.0 through 4.20.0.1d

——12Authentication bypass in the HA heartbeat origin check in middlewared in TrueNAS SCALE before 25.10.8 (and in release trains before their respective fixes) allows an attacker on the same network segment to achieve unauthenticated full-administrator API access and execute commands as root. middlewared registers the HA peer-authentication hook (ha_permission) unconditionally, with no failover-licence or heartbeat-interface check. An unauthenticated connection whose TCP peer address is a hardcoded HA heartbeat address (169.254.10.1 or 169.254.10.2) and whose peer port is <= 1024 is granted a node credential that is authorized for every API method and treated as full administrator. Both conditions are properties of the attacker's own socket, and thus an attacker on the same layer-2 segment satisfies them without forging anything. The hook is present on non-HA, unlicensed, single-node Community Edition installations. The fix additionally requires that the connection terminate on the HA heartbeat listener (a local address/port the attacker cannot control).2d

——1The Dokan: AI Powered WooCommerce Multivendor Marketplace Solution WordPress plugin before 5.3.3 does not use a trusted site-owned sender address when relaying its store contact form, instead placing the unauthenticated submitter's supplied address directly in the message's From header rather than a Reply-To, allowing unauthenticated attackers to make the site email its own vendors with the sender spoofed to an address at the site's own domain (such as its administrator), aligned with the domain's own SPF/DKIM.13h

——16VitaFit cloud API before 2026-10-30 contained an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows remote attackers to obtain a full session for a victim's account by submitting a linked Google or Facebook account identifier to the POST /front/login/sns/ endpoint without providing proof of ownership from the identity provider. Attackers can forge a login using an identifier exposed through account enumeration to read and modify the victim's profile and delete the account's authentication record, preventing the legitimate user from logging in.1d
