dmaengine: mmp_pdma: Fix race condition in mmp_pdma_residue()
Add proper locking in mmp_pdma_residue() to prevent use-after-free when
accessing descriptor list and descriptor contents.
The race occurs when multiple threads call tx_status() while the tasklet
on another CPU is freeing completed descriptors:
CPU 0 CPU 1
----- -----
mmp_pdma_tx_status()
mmp_pdma_residue()
-> NO LOCK held
list_for_each_entry(sw, ..)
DMA interrupt
dma_do_tasklet()
-> spin_lock(&desc_lock)
list_move(sw->node, ...)
spin_unlock(&desc_lock)
| dma_pool_free(sw) <- FREED!
-> access sw->desc <- UAF!
This issue can be reproduced when running dmatest on the same channel with
multiple threads (threads_per_chan > 1).
Fix by protecting the chain_running list iteration and descriptor access
with the chan->desc_lock spinlock.7dCVE-2026-231104.7 MED0.8%
——0In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: core: Wake up the error handler when final completions race against each other
The fragile ordering between marking commands completed or failed so
that the error handler only wakes when the last running command
completes or times out has race conditions. These race conditions can
cause the SCSI layer to fail to wake the error handler, leaving I/O
through the SCSI host stuck as the error state cannot advance.
First, there is an memory ordering issue within scsi_dec_host_busy().
The write which clears SCMD_STATE_INFLIGHT may be reordered with reads
counting in scsi_host_busy(). While the local CPU will see its own
write, reordering can allow other CPUs in scsi_dec_host_busy() or
scsi_eh_inc_host_failed() to see a raised busy count, causing no CPU to
see a host busy equal to the host_failed count.
This race condition can be prevented with a memory barrier on the error
path to force the write to be visible before counting host busy
commands.
Second, there is a general ordering issue with scsi_eh_inc_host_failed(). By
counting busy commands before incrementing host_failed, it can race with a
final command in scsi_dec_host_busy(), such that scsi_dec_host_busy() does
not see host_failed incremented but scsi_eh_inc_host_failed() counts busy
commands before SCMD_STATE_INFLIGHT is cleared by scsi_dec_host_busy(),
resulting in neither waking the error handler task.
This needs the call to scsi_host_busy() to be moved after host_failed is
incremented to close the race condition.7dCVE-2025-612287.8 ALT0.8%

drm/amdgpu: fix AMDGPU_INFO_READ_MMR_REG
There were multiple issues in that code.
First of all the order between the reset semaphore and the mm_lock was
wrong (e.g. copy_to_user) was called while holding the lock.
Then we allocated memory while holding the reset semaphore which is also
a pretty big bug and can deadlock.
Then we used down_read_trylock() instead of waiting for the reset to
finish.

HID: usbhid: fix deadlock in hid_post_reset()
You can build a USB device that includes a HID component
and a storage or UAS component. The components can be reset
only together. That means that hid_pre_reset() and hid_post_reset()
are in the block IO error handling. Hence no memory allocation
used in them may do block IO because the IO can deadlock
on the mutex held while resetting a device and calling the
interface drivers.
Use GFP_NOIO for all allocations in them.7dCVE-2026-530355.5 MED0.8%

——0In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: x86: Fix VM hard lockup after prolonged inactivity with periodic HV timer
When advancing the target expiration for the guest's APIC timer in periodic
mode, set the expiration to "now" if the target expiration is in the past
(similar to what is done in update_target_expiration()). Blindly adding
the period to the previous target expiration can result in KVM generating
a practically unbounded number of hrtimer IRQs due to programming an
expired timer over and over. In extreme scenarios, e.g. if userspace
pauses/suspends a VM for an extended duration, this can even cause hard
lockups in the host.
Currently, the bug only affects Intel CPUs when using the hypervisor timer
(HV timer), a.k.a. the VMX preemption timer. Unlike the software timer,
a.k.a. hrtimer, which KVM keeps running even on exits to userspace, the
HV timer only runs while the guest is active. As a result, if the vCPU
does not run for an extended duration, there will be a huge gap between
the target expiration and the current time the vCPU resumes running.
Because the target expiration is incremented by only one period on each
timer expiration, this leads to a series of timer expirations occurring
rapidly after the vCPU/VM resumes.
More critically, when the vCPU first triggers a periodic HV timer
expiration after resuming, advancing the expiration by only one period
will result in a target expiration in the past. As a result, the delta
may be calculated as a negative value. When the delta is converted into
an absolute value (tscdeadline is an unsigned u64), the resulting value
can overflow what the HV timer is capable of programming. I.e. the large
value will exceed the VMX Preemption Timer's maximum bit width of
cpu_preemption_timer_multi + 32, and thus cause KVM to switch from the
HV timer to the software timer (hrtimers).
After switching to the software timer, periodic timer expiration callbacks
may be executed consecutively within a single clock interrupt handler,
because hrtimers honors KVM's request for an expiration in the past and
immediately re-invokes KVM's callback after reprogramming. And because
the interrupt handler runs with IRQs disabled, restarting KVM's hrtimer
over and over until the target expiration is advanced to "now" can result
in a hard lockup.
E.g. the following hard lockup was triggered in the host when running a
Windows VM (only relevant because it used the APIC timer in periodic mode)
after resuming the VM from a long suspend (in the host).

Moreover, if the suspend duration of the virtual machine is not long enough
to trigger a hard lockup in this scenario, since commit 98c25ead5eda
("KVM: VMX: Move preemption timer <=> hrtimer dance to common x86"), KVM
will continue using the software timer until the guest reprograms the APIC
timer in some way. Since the periodic timer does not require frequent APIC
timer register programming, the guest may continue to use the software

in the Secure Access installer for the Windows client and server prior to
version 14.55. Attackers with local access to the client or server can use it

——0OP-TEE is a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) designed as companion to a non-secure Linux kernel running on Arm; Cortex-A cores using the TrustZone technology. Starting in version 3.9.0 and prior to version 4.11.0, the RSA-OAEP decryption implementation in the NXP CAAM crypto driver uses non-constant-time `memcmp()` for label hash verification and has multiple distinguishable error paths. This creates a Manger-style padding oracle that allows an attacker to recover RSA-OAEP plaintext with approximately 1000-2000 adaptive chosen ciphertext queries. Version 4.11.0 contains a patch. As a workaround, disable the NXP CAAM RSA driver with `CFG_CRYPTO_DRV_RSA=n`.14dCVE-2026-133223.8 BAJ0.7%

The server reads guest requests using textproto.Reader.ReadLine(), which buffers input indefinitely until a newline character is received, with no length limit or read deadline. A user with access to a VM guest that has the downward metrics virtio-serial device configured can write a continuous byte stream to the device, causing unbounded memory allocation in the virt-handler process until it is OOM-killed.15dCVE-2026-561174.7 MED0.7%

mm/huge_memory: fix folio isn't locked in softleaf_to_folio()
On arm64 server, we found folio that get from migration entry isn't locked
in softleaf_to_folio(). This issue triggers when mTHP splitting and
zap_nonpresent_ptes() races, and the root cause is lack of memory barrier
in softleaf_to_folio(). The race is as follows:
CPU0 CPU1
deferred_split_scan() zap_nonpresent_ptes()
lock folio
split_folio()
unmap_folio()
change ptes to migration entries
__split_folio_to_order() softleaf_to_folio()
set flags(including PG_locked) for tail pages folio = pfn_folio(softleaf_to_pfn(entry))
smp_wmb() VM_WARN_ON_ONCE(!folio_test_locked(folio))
prep_compound_page() for tail pages
In __split_folio_to_order(), smp_wmb() guarantees page flags of tail pages
are visible before the tail page becomes non-compound. smp_wmb() should
be paired with smp_rmb() in softleaf_to_folio(), which is missed. As a
result, if zap_nonpresent_ptes() accesses migration entry that stores tail
pfn, softleaf_to_folio() may see the updated compound_head of tail page
before page->flags.
This issue will trigger VM_WARN_ON_ONCE() in pfn_swap_entry_folio()
because of the race between folio split and zap_nonpresent_ptes()
leading to a folio incorrectly undergoing modification without a folio
lock being held.
This is a BUG_ON() before commit 93976a20345b ("mm: eliminate further
swapops predicates"), which in merged in v6.19-rc1.
To fix it, add missing smp_rmb() if the softleaf entry is migration entry
in softleaf_to_folio() and softleaf_to_page().

soc: fsl: qbman: fix race condition in qman_destroy_fq
When QMAN_FQ_FLAG_DYNAMIC_FQID is set, there's a race condition between
fq_table[fq->idx] state and freeing/allocating from the pool and
WARN_ON(fq_table[fq->idx]) in qman_create_fq() gets triggered.
Indeed, we can have:
Thread A Thread B
qman_destroy_fq() qman_create_fq()
qman_release_fqid()
qman_shutdown_fq()
gen_pool_free()
-- At this point, the fqid is available again --
qman_alloc_fqid()
-- so, we can get the just-freed fqid in thread B --
fq->fqid = fqid;
fq->idx = fqid * 2;
WARN_ON(fq_table[fq->idx]);
fq_table[fq->idx] = fq;
fq_table[fq->idx] = NULL;
And adding some logs between qman_release_fqid() and
fq_table[fq->idx] = NULL makes the WARN_ON() trigger a lot more.
To prevent that, ensure that fq_table[fq->idx] is set to NULL before
gen_pool_free() is called by using smp_wmb().7dCVE-2026-5040—0.7%

net: psp: check for device unregister when creating assoc
psp_assoc_device_get_locked() obtains a psp_dev reference via
psp_dev_get_for_sock() (which uses psp_dev_tryget() under RCU);
it then acquires psd->lock and drops the reference. Before
the lock is taken, psp_dev_unregister() can run to completion:
take psd->lock, clear out state, unlock, drop the registration
reference.
The expectation is that the lock prevents device unregistration,
but much like with netdevs special care has to be taken when
"upgrading" a reference to a locked device. Add the missing
check if device is still alive. psp_dev_is_registered() exists
already but had no callers, which makes me wonder if I either
forgot to add this or lost the check during refactoring...7dCVE-2026-534107.0 ALT0.7%

——0In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
virt: sev-guest: Do not use host-controlled page order in cleanup path
When issuing an extended guest request (SVM_VMGEXIT_EXT_GUEST_REQUEST),
get_ext_report() allocates a buffer to retrieve a certificate blob from the
host, keeping track of its size in report_req->certs_len.
However, the host may return SNP_GUEST_VMM_ERR_INVALID_LEN, indicating
an invalid buffer size, as well as the expected length of such buffer.
get_ext_report() subsequently updates report_req->certs_len with the
host-controlled value, and cleans up the buffer by computing a page order
from such value. This is incorrect, as the host-provided length may not
match the page order of the original allocation, potentially resulting
in corruption in the page allocator.
Fix this by using alloc_pages_exact() instead, and reusing @npages to
compute the size passed to free_pages_exact(). For consistency, also
use @npages to compute the size when allocating the pages, even though
this last change has no functional effect.7dCVE-2026-361767.1 ALT0.7%
